The Dream Circle is one of those of such special, rarified distinction. There are so many significant works by Steve Roach, many which are inspiring, influential, and landmark releases that have impacted the lives of deep-listening fans and artistic souls throughout the last 40 years, but, within that legacy of appreciable catalog, there are a few very special titles that reach beyond all description. Howard took upon himself to do this on his own, that’s what I would classify as pure dedication and passion to the love presenting the most impactful sound experience we can ask for right now.Ģ020 Dream Circle Remaster statement by Howard Givens - Mastering engineer for The Dream Circle and many of Steve’s releases While the original master sounds fine, advancements in the mastering tools over the years and the experience on how to apply these tool to this music are the ongoing impetus in taking certain releases to a new level of revealing the magic with in. Recently, out of the blue I received a call from Howard Givens telling me he was sending a “surprise” 2020 remaster of The Dream Circle. But, this story makes me drop the games and shows, pulling me in for more at every free moment. The Dream Circle (2020 Remastered) AUGUST 14 2020, Original Release year 1994 it’s been a long time since I’ve just put down my mobile games, or taken a night off of Netflix, and just read. The part with the girl and the prayer, you’ll know it when you get there, I was like wow. There have been moments where I’ve tuned everything out, I’m so wrapped up in the story. You get a real sense of every character, so much so at times I didn’t know who to hope survived more. More than once I’ve found myself telling my wife about the story, even reading certain passages. I’ve finished the first book, working on the second, and I’m still impressed and wanting more. From the two Paladins, Darius and Jericho, to the Wolfmen, farmers, villagers, even a young girl. Unlike “A Wizard’s Choice”, where you focus on a single character, the Wizard, Paladins gives you perspective from all sides. Very seldom do I take the time to write a review, but I’m enjoying this story enough I felt the need.
